Getting Inspired Again

Well it's been awhile since I have made some chess videos. Namely, things have been super busy with work and the kids, and after my computer blew up awhile back and I put one together, I was missing some of the software that I liked to use. I am working towards getting some of that back, and will be posting videos again soon.

Throughout my break I still played chess, mostly 5 minute blitz. My study time was negligible due to the busy nature of life, but I played daily as much as I could - blitz anyway. Very rarely did I play longer time control limits.

The new videos will comprise of a series that I always wanted to do on a personal level, and after that is complete I will resume study and continue with the other series that I have going.

Yours in chess,
jrobichess

I always will remember your chess videos. You have inspired me and I remember spending all night trying to watch your addictive chess videos. Your explanations are so clear & easy to understand. I have learned so much from your openings and I always like watching your annotated games. You have been a tremendous asset to the chess world and have probably added 25-50 points to my elo. Your youtube videos will last forever and the more you create, the better you fill the world with approachable chess knowledge, my friend!

I've been following you for several years now. I just want to say that your videos always inspire me to get out there and play chess. I'm sorry that you are too busy to continue making your wonderful videos on a regular basis, but I'm really looking forward to the new format!

My father recently had a stroke and I'm using chess as a way to help his brain regain functioning. I look forward to watching some videos with him when you return. :)

Jrobi, I personally miss your videos - especially the coverages of the chess championships. You can find me on FICS under LordTyraad. I've been playing team league events for the past two years. I want to thank you for creating this site, the videos, and keeping us sharp at life's best game.

Jrobi, your videos have been a blessing to my busy life. You are slightly ahead of me in skill level and I have, no doubt, learned a lot from you, as well as been entertained for hours. If you take 5 years off or 10 years off, go right ahead because there are those of us who hope for 2 things to happen in the chess universe:

1) Josh Waitzin to return to chess and finish his 3 grandmaster norms

2) Jrobi to come back to his youtube, twitter, and blog.

Your skill as a video producer & entertainer is why you have amassed tens of thousands of views cumulatively to your video library. You have made life slightly more fun for hundreds of people, hundreds of times...
